Sweater (Dress) Weather

I don’t own many sweaters. They’ve just never really been my thing. While they do provide warmth, I generally find them bulky, so I prefer to layer and throw on a jacket to stay comfortable in cooler temps. That said, when a sweater is in the shape of a v-neck wrap mini dress, that’s an entirely different story. If you couldn’t tell, I’m loving cream right now, so I knew this dress would be the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe as soon as I saw it—especially since I don’t own anything like it.

I began this shoot in the above location, which I loved for the vintage-looking brick building in the background, but was soon interrupted by a creep who kept trying to approach me and get me to smoke a joint with him. Let’s be clear: under no circumstances would I ever accept anything from a stranger in an alleyway, but ESPECIALLY not during a pandemic. I’m not even touching door handles these days. I declined as politely as I could muster before hightailing it back to relative safety, a.k.a. the building across from mine where at least I recognize the local degenerates and hollering construction workers. I need some new shooting locations.

Outfit details: Current Clothing dress; Danielle Bernstein blazer (no longer avail); Jeffrey Campbell shoes; vintage Furla bag; Aldo sunnies (super old, not sure which ones); handmade choker (from a pair of old ripped tights—this was a trick we started doing in high school and I’ve done it ever since!).
