SF is windy AF
If you live in SF, chances are you’ve noticed how insanely windy it’s been lately. I mean you’d have to be a literal shut-in not to notice…and hopefully now that the vaccine is widely available, we no longer need to remain trapped in our homes. But truly, the winds are out of control. It’s not atypical for the winds to be whippin’ this time of year, but it’s been beyond lately. I wish I knew the exact science to explain this, but I can only guess it has to do with the increasingly warmer temps just outside the bay being pushed around by the city’s standard chill and creating a wind tunnel as a result.
Anywayyyyy all this to say that even though it’s sunny (check!) and mid-May (check!), pants are still in order apparently, much to my extreme dismay after the year of pants-wearing outdoor dining we’ve all had. BUT on the bright side, I am vaxed, my loved ones are vaxed, and things are starting to feel a bit more optimistic than they have for a long time. I recognize, though, that that isn’t the case for everyone and realize how incredibly privileged I am to be living in SF during what has been a horrific time for so many.
With all this vaxing afoot, it’s finally time to shake off the gloom, step outside and go somewhere…anywhere. And my wardrobe has never been happier.
