The Heat of the City
The past week or so in SF has been sweltering. Trust me, I’m not complaining, because we so rarely get to grab onto that feeling of summer…which is what makes it so fleetingly magical. But no matter how much I love leaving my apartment during the day without a jacket—and I really love that—the nights without AC renders sleep an elusive, wild thing that slips right through my fingers. Strangely, I’ve always been the kind of person who takes well to lack of sleep, and by well I mean I adopt a sort of restless energy that keeps me wound up all day and into the night. I’ve been doing lots of reading of entire books in one sitting, tirelessly scrolling through Poshmark for that one highly specific thing from like 11 years ago and going for long, rambling runs, so you’d think by the time nightfall rolls around—heat or not—I’d crash, but it’s the opposite: I just think and think and think.
All this to say 1) I may have become a crazy person; 2) I’m on outfit idea overdrive and have lots of looks I can’t wait to shoot and share with you and; 3) …I can’t remember…(this is one of the negative side effects of not sleeping).
This is a graffiti-ridden vacant parking lot I found today with a dope multi-toned brick wall and some other fun features that I’ll definitely be repurposing as backdrops in posts to come. I liked how it vibed with this outfit.
