Gilded Earth Tones
This outfit was inspired by my mom, who reminded me she gave me this beautiful Hermès scarf and said I should shoot a look with it. I decided to make it a top, because one of my favorite things to do is to wear pieces in ways they weren’t originally intended to be worn. The scarf-as-a-top idea is hardly groundbreaking, and in fact, I purchased one of Danielle Bernstein’s scarf-inspired tops from her latest collection which would have made this look a lot easier to execute, but I liked how the hues in this specific scarf complemented the shade of these particular wrap pants. While putting this outfit together, I discovered a lovely scrap of silk I forgot I had, and experimented with a few different ways to wear it. Stay tuned for a post all about my findings later this week.
