Prancing Through the Flowers
We returned to our apartment from our trip to Michigan to find the grounds entirely overgrown—in the best way possible—with these Seussian purple and white flowers. Seriously they are everywhere and some even tower over me! I couldn’t wait to shoot an ethereal look right in the middle of them. And then I also found a neutral wall that made my dress pop.
I bought this dress for one of my wedding events and have been looking for the right opportunity to wear it again. It’s the kind of dress you can wear with white sneakers (which is what I wore with it last time), but today I am featuring these brand new Sseko gold mules, which were a surprise from my husband after I mentioned I coveted them. If you don’t know Sseko, check it out: they are committed to sending young Ugandan women to university, whom they employ between high school and college, which enables them to earn an income to put towards the pursuit of higher education. I love this brand and what it stands for, plus they have an array of super unique styles.
The other piece of this outfit I want to mention is the gold bracelet. This was my grandmother’s and was made in Greece, just like that side of my family. This bracelet was her last gift to me before she passed away a couple of years ago, and I will cherish it always.
