Neutra/ity

I went on a little jaunt to Union Square today to make some returns but knew there was no way I was escaping without a quick peek into Zara. I can’t get within shouting distance of one of their stores without finding some excuse to drop in…it’s basically my fashion kryptonite. I don’t walk out with something every time, but when I do, it’s always a piece I can’t wait to wear. Enter this dope jacket.

I am loving the taupe hue paired with the shiny texture. It’s cropped, quilted, and has lots of cinch-able details, include its two front pockets and sleeves. Also, the collar does that amazing thing where it sticks up all on its own and has a secret hood hidden inside. As soon as I saw it, this exact outfit idea sprang into my head and I knew I had to have it. That’s typically a good barometer for me: when I see an item and immediately begin picturing all the ways I’m going to wear it, I know it’s probably a worthwhile purchase. The problem is how often that occurs.

I convinced Justin to come shopping with me and he got an amazing shearling-lined plaid coat and a pair of classic brown leather shoes. Zara for the win, once again.

Outfit details: Zara jacket and shirt; Current Clothing shorts; Sam Edelman boots; Aldo sunglasses.
